Sales Manager

The Commercial Sales Manager, Watts Water Quality (WWQ) will be responsible for developing and executing aggressive growth strategies and comprehensive sales plans to further penetrate the Commercial filtration and water conditioning market. This position will manage and direct all daily and long range activities for the assigned geographic regions and accounts. Activities will include project identification, new business development, proposal development and quotations, pricing strategies, contract development and management, sales management, customer relations, and maintaining the opportunity funnel. The Commercial Sales Manager will be responsible to deliver the AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and to make solid short term and long term business decisions. (This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the Region) RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Manages and directs all daily and long range activities associated with Commercial water treatment and conditioning. Project identification, new business development, proposal development and quotations, pricing strategies, contract development and management, sales management, customer relations, and maintaining the opportunity funnel. Shows leadership to develop strong sales processes to identify opportunities and convert to orders. Works collaboratively with inside sales, customer service, technical support and other departments to insure we meet the needs of the customer. Participates in the creation of the annual orders and sales plan and provides monthly forecasts. Produces strategic and tactical account plans to meet AOP targets and improve market penetration. Initiates and drives business initiatives to trigger growth. Proactively prospects for new business using McGraw Hill Dodge analytics tools. Guides customer equipment selection based on specifications and product offering. Provide input to marketing, product management, and engineering to create leading-edge products and services that are positioned to leverage WWQ strengths. Maintains an understanding of Commercial markets, its customer needs, and the competitor landscape. Build long-tern relationships with customers and strengthen WWQ's image with industry luminaries. Attend trade shows and industry events as required to represent our products in the marketplace. Share best practices and help formulate strategies for identifying, developing, and managing new business channels by leveraging synergies across Watts's platforms. Coordinate with sales teams from of other platforms to implement account strategies and close orders. Be the voice of the customer and promote customer a centric mindset. Responsible for driving pricing initiatives by collaborating with product management and ensuring they have the necessary market intelligence. Break down internal barriers and be a catalyst for platform success. Willing to train to become proficient in Advanced Water Treatment. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related degree MBA preferred MANAGEMENT: May manage direct reports including Inside Sales and Warehouse Associates. Ensure company policies are followed. Enforce company safety policies. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 10 years' experience in a Commercial sales environment for a similarly-sized organization. Proven ability to develop and execute a Commercial sales strategy targeting large, multi-year accounts, as well as short cycle sales to small and medium sized organizations. Success implementing/leveragingCRM systems to develop new customers and grow existing accounts. Demonstrated ability to simply communicate complex concepts in a compelling and concise manner. Demonstrated strong business acumen and technical competency using financialreporting tools. Must have thorough understanding and proven ability to negotiate complex and strategic contracts. Embraces and is motivated by change, makes sound business decisions and works well under pressure. Strong blend of analytical, decision making and creative problem solving skills. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and main frame operating systems. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills at all levels. Ability to anticipate, understand and creatively solve problems or resolve issues. Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional presence. Superior organizational and time management skills. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
